Life Experience - Personal Statement ExampleI recognized that I needed a mentor or role model that exemplified those characteristics, but I just didn't have the good fortune of finding one to which I could easily relate. In my earlier years, I dropped out of high school then ultimately obtained a GED so that I could pursue my dream of going back to school and study to become a nurse. I started in a college program, but dropped out. I'm sure my feelings of inadequacy about not being smart enough to do well in school were attributable in part to not completing high school. Additionally, I had gained more responsibility and as a result, less time to work on my own goals and objectives. I had gotten married and had children to care for, so the responsibility of managing a family and home along with making a commitment to a significant academic goal was difficult to imagine. Initially my husband was who I counted on for support and motivation. He and my children were my life and I was happy until circumstances ultimately led to a divorce.

Walt Whitman     Walt Whitman was born in a rural village on Long Island N.Y. on May, 31 1819. He went to school to five to six years, although he received most of his education from the literature he read. His first jobs consisted of being a printer and a school teacher. At the age of 27 he became editor of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, dismissed two years later because he had radically liberal views. In the early 1850’s he went back home to build houses with his father. Emerson believed Whitman wrote for the complete person, one that is willing to listen to one self. Whittier, however, judged Whitman’s work as “loose, lurid, and impious”. In 1855 the First edition of “Leaves of Grass”, this was classified as “poetry of barbarism” because it was radical, talking about things like sexuality, and it used exotic and vulgar language. His songs were songs not only of occupations but of sex and the body.

As of 2013 teenagers became more interested in getting involved in entering early romantic relationships and as time passes romantic relationships played an important role in the life of an adolescent. According to Mathew E. Kopfler “Dating is shown to affect students both favourably and adversely, but the present seems to be affected by a person’s future plans”. He also pointed out that “Entering romantic relationships amongst the youth can affect their educational values, goals and attitudes”. Many more researches backed up the theory of Mr. Kopfler but some also say that there are more negative effects than the positive ones.By the groups experience in the school many of us tend to hear some comments like “my grades went down because my time and all my effort was given to the one I love” or “my grades are high because I’m single” many teenagers today blames romantic relationship for their failures when it comes to academic grades.

Reflection and DQ's - Essay ExampleAs such, CSR was described to entail elements which include commitment to serve the best interests of society; yet ensuring that the organization grows through the generation of profits. Without earning financial resources, the organization would not be able to sustain continued operations in producing products or services that would benefit its stakeholders, including the environment and the general public. Finally, the success of CSR also requires consumer social responsibilities to do their part in sustaining and supporting the organization’s commitment to succeed in their field of endeavor. One shares similar contentions that the popularity of applying CSR was considered analogous to a bandwagon paradigm. By merely asserting that the organization adheres to CSR philosophies was already indicative of conformity to ethical, moral, and legal standards. As explained in the video, there are crucial ingredients to consider before CSR could be effectively exemplified.

The Left Digit Effect in Pricing Strategy EssayHave you ever come across price tags that have 9 endings? Have you ever bought those merchandise with 9 endings thinking that was the best deal and ended up with an enormous bill? Do you notice that the 9 endings are usually printed in a much smaller size than the digits on the left? This is a result of a psychological concept called “The Left Digit Effect” in which people tend to pay more attention to the left-most digits than the ones on the right.     The idea has been widely used for decades for its great impact on consumers’ shopping behavior.Nine endings can easily be seen everywhere: stationeries of $1. 99, $4. 99 in bookstores, cars of $2,999, $5,999 in a dealership, real estates of $199,999, $299,999 on the market. It is interesting how such a small change can make a price tag seem significantly lower than another one of just one cent or one dollar higher, as well as greatly affect consumers’ decision. Even the smartest shoppers can fall for this little trick.
